Vintage Masaaki Sato 'Subway No. 12' screenprint edition 30/150 circa 1978.
Features INSANE opart / multicolor interpretation of an iconic NYC subway station. From Sato's 'Hole' series of NYC transportation sights. Super thick silkscreen on heavy paper, newly framed with double matting under glass in chunky custom white matte frame, wired to hang. Pencil signed 30/150 with signature in right hand corner.
Condition report: was previously removed from damaged matting and shows wear at the edges as pictured with some mild staining and spots with some breaks to silkscreen as pictured. She shows insanely well on account of how crazy it is. Extremely difficult to find any examples of the artists work. She's legit and hands down one of my favorite pieces of art ever. She is however sold as is, priced accordingly.
