Vintage Andrée Putman 'Compas Dans L'Oeil' Table Lamp

Vintage Compas Dans L'Oeil table lamp by famed French designer Andrée Putman for Baldinger Architectural Lighting originaly designed for The Ritz Carlton in Wolfsburg, Germany in 1988. This model is circa 1999. 

Features lacquered nickel weighted rectangular base with nickel arm and perforated nickel lined shade with articulating hinge and screw attachment. The Ritz model originally had a brass hinge, later production is all nickel. Shade moves from downward position all the way to about 120*. Base shows age appropriate scratches and scuffs with some spots to shade and a couple minor dings as pictured. Shade has some minor interior yellowing and scratch. Hinge is functional but a little stiff the higher you go. She's in excellent working condition with on/off switch at base and about a 10ft long cord. She shows very well and is extremely handsome. A hard one to find, priced accordingly for condition (these go for around $1200 elsewhere)
