Vintage postmodern Metal Men Stretch table Lamp by Brian Landau circa 1989.  "Art as Functional Lighting" started with the introduction of Metal Men in 1989 at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair in New York.

Features brushed metal man split in two, each half of the man is a flat conductor of safe 12 volt power to a halogen bulb. Removeable from black textured transformer base. Has knob at bulb to adjust direction of light. In excellent working condition showing minimal wear on man part with switch on cord. Lamp provides very bright vibrant light. 

"Art as Functional Lighting" started with the introduction of Metal Men in 1989 at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair in New York.

Pretty insane table lamp if you ask me! Love it!
