Vintage childs chair by Kristian Vedel for Torben Orskov & Co made in Denmark circa 1957.
Features Beach bent plywood frame with blue lacquered adjustable seat. 5 slots on either side to adjust seat height or to use as low stool / side table / whatever. Iconic and timeless design, one of the first design forward objects aimed at the children's market. Chair frame shows age appropriate patina, marks, scuffs etc with spots and wear to seat. Label still attached at frame and seat. Has water damage with splitting at base and some loss of veneer on back corner with split to bottom of seat. Still structurally sound but would be better used to stack books, as low side table or just a pleasant design object in a corner. Shows well and is seemingly hard to find (double or triple price elsewhere) but sold as is.
