86T Rocking chair designed in 1954 by Isamu Noguchi for the Cyclone Series reproduced by Vitra in collaboration with The Noguchi Foundation 2001. The Stool was intended to be a collaborative re-edition made by Vitra for Knoll; however, just before its release, distribution rights were given to Vitra and produced until 2009.
In removing the unnecessary points of contact with the ground, Noguchi created a dynamic and fluid stool, which moves and adjusts with the user and the subtle changes they make. In walnut stained Maplewood with polished chrome accents. Has some age appropriate wear, scuffs scratches, small mark to finish etc as pictured. Shows very well and is structurally sound. A highly sought after edition and a design classic. Labeled under seat.
