Limited Edition Shigeo Fukuda S/O framed silkscreen prints by Ambassador Arts 1994.
Shigeo was a sculptor, graphic artist and poster designer who created optical illusion graphics. In 1993, at the request of Paula Scher, Shigeo participated in “The Alphabet Collection” printed in New York. Shigeo designed the letters O and S which were part of the alphabet exhibit at The Aspen Design Conference in 1994.
Features mega iconic Fukuda graphic S of men walking up and down and elliptical stair illusion in black on bright orange background with white border. The O is a fist pulling the letter all the way thru also in black on bright orange background with white border. Both prints show minimal wear with slight inconsistencies in line with hand done silk screen. Pencil numbered and signed by the artist, S: 139/300, O:139/300. In matte white chunky metal frames behind glass wired to hang. Shows excellently and a phenomenal pair.
