Deadstock Nick Crosbie / Inflate Studio 'Star Vase' made in England circa 1997.

Thee Inflate icon! Too insane and too fucking cool. The 'Star Vase' features hard off white PVC plastic cone with 'inflatable' flexible PVC star shaped base in baby blue or light yellow. The base 'inflates' by adding water which forms a flexible and waterproof vase suitable for any surface. Shows minor shelf wear otherwise in unused condition save for the display one. Product will arrive with 'bent' arms, don't be alarmed will flatten out with water or can blow dry (as recommended) back into shape. When using; grip from the base not the cone as the cone could break with rough handling (I learned the hard way on one) Sold individually.

Virtually impossible to find and were sourced from the original sales gallery in Athens, Greece.

Nick Crosbie founded Inflate in 1995 to launch his range of inflatable products aimed at the gift and homewares market, with the strap-line ‘Fun, Functional & Affordable’. Inflate products established a cult following and were made available around the world. An affirmation of the brand’s success, in 1998 the V&A Museum, London celebrated Inflate with a dedicated show and book with a permanent collection of Inflate products.

7" tall. 3.5" diameter.
