Vintage Alvar Aalto three leg tomato red E60 stool distributed by ICF made in Finland circa early 1960s.
Alvar Aalto’s Stool E60 designed in 1934 is the most elemental of furniture pieces, equally suitable as a seat, table, storage unit, or display surface. Thanks to its geometry, the stool can be stacked to save space in a spiralling tower sculpture. In bent birch wood with tomato red linoleum seat. Excellent patina throughout with wear to seat as pictured. It sits lower than the standard E60 but is has its original legs, screws and stamp and is a nice early version thats a bit heavier than the standard. She's a stunner and highly collectible.
