Y2K / space age 'DAVE' expanding desk / table by Ikea circa 2010/11.
Features sculptural / chunky white thick plastic top that expands revealing a work space for a laptop etc with hidden cord storage. Slide it back together and its a side table. Adjustable height base as well. Shows some age appropriate wear with scuffs and scratches to the top as pictured, hard to pick up on camera, slides just fine and shows excellently, I would add some felt feet for added stability, fyi. Fun part is I've researched extensively to figure out who designed this and have come up empty. Its very Marc Newson / Karim Rashid but the only mention of it anywhere is a blog post in Belgium from 2011 and a few at auction in the years since. A fun design mystery, its pretty great.
